Honey Chilli Potatoes

Something for Vegetarian to enjoy

Honey Chilli Potatoes


For the potatoes:

  • 2 potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 3-4 Tbsp Maida
  • Corn flour
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • Oil, for deep frying

For the base:ching-secret-sweet-chilli-sauce

  • 1 tsp oil
  • 2 spring onions/ Onion, sliced
  • 1 Green or Red capsicum, sliced
  • 1 garlic Cloves
  • 2 Tbsp honey / 2 tsp chilli sauce ( Or You could use Ching’s Sweet and Chilli Sause)
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1/4 tsp soya sauce

Deep Fry potatoes:

  1. Add maida, Corn flour, salt and red chilli powder in bowl
  2. Add the sliced potatoes. Mix well till potatoes are coated.
  3. Deep fry till golden.

Making the Sause Mix:

  1. In a pan add oil, crushed garlic cloves.11102026_10155618030335541_8895081073996128997_n
  2. Add spring onions/Onions.
  3. Can add crushed Green Chilli if you like it hot ( Optional )
  4. Heat for 1 or 2 minute.
  5. Add capsicum, salt and soya sauce. Saute.
  6. Add Ching’s Sweet and Chilli Sause or Honey & Chilli Sause
  7. Add deep fried potatoes. Mix.

Serve it as Starter or with Rice. Enjoy


Thai Basil Chicken

Yet another Basil Recipe. This is because I love it and I grow it in my garden. 😀

Thai Basil Chicken


  • 2 Cups basil leaves10987570_10155269646215541_4650674510459486923_n
  • 200 gms Boneless Chicken
  • 3-4 Garlic cloves (Use according to your Taste)
  • 3-4 Fresh Red or Green Chilli
  • 2 Teaspoons of Soya Sauce
  • 1 Teaspoon of Sugar
  • 2 Teaspoons of Oyster Sauce
  • Olive Oil


  1. Crush Garlic Cloves and Green/Red Chilli.
  2. Heat a Pan with Olive Oil and add the mix.
  3. Cut Chicken to fine small pieces.
  4. Add Chicken to the Pan, Mix the content well.
  5. Add 1 Teaspoon of Soya Sause, 2 Teaspoons of Soya Sauce and Sugar.
  6. Mix them all well.
  7. Add fresh Basil Leaves to the pan.

Serve the Basil Chicken with Rice and Egg.
